Hosonsoft PrintExp Software User Guide

PrintExp Printer Control Software Overview

PrintExp is Hosonsoft’s printer control software with a user-friendly interface for controlling printers, calibrating, upgrading/updating programs, importing/exporting parameters, and saving parameters to the board.

Software and Network Configuration Details

Przedmiot Specification from source
Software executable PrintExp.exe (double-click to start)
Server IP/port Server IP and server port settings are fixed; only local IP needs setting
Example local IP 192.168.127.111 (first three digits can be any number within 1–255 except for 10)
NIC requirement Before network connection, ensure the computer NIC is Gigabit NIC
Gigabit NIC identification strings Gigabit, GBE, 10/100/1000M, RTL8169
100M NIC identification strings Fast Ethernet, 10/100, FE
Oprogramowanie sprzętowe file suffix for configuration .bsf (Import firmware configuration / Export firmware configuration)
Oprogramowanie sprzętowe file suffix for parameters .xtf (Import firmware parameters / Export firmware parameters)
Import firmware behavior After selecting import, do not perform any actions until import completes (messages indicate success)

Setup and Basic Use (Start, Network Online, and First-Time Board Steps)

  1. Start PrintExp: open the PrintExp folder and double-click PrintExp.exe.
  2. Before connecting to the network, confirm the computer NIC is a Karta sieciowa gigabitowa (e.g., contains “Gigabit”, “GBE”, “10/100/1000M”, or “RTL8169”).
  3. Set network for first time: go to ZaawansowanyUstawienia sieciowei ustaw local IP (byłyampna: 192.168.127.111).
  4. Check online status: return to the main interface and confirm the lower-left icon turns zielony (connected). If it is czerwony, unplug the network cable and try again; if needed, verify the network cable condition and adapter address.
  5. Before using a new board/card set: set the Adres IP, then perform motor gear ratio calibration, clean the print head, Następnie kalibrować, and finally set up drawing printing settings.

Troubleshooting (Network and Import/Export Behavior)

  • Cannot connect after setting local IP: verify/adjust the network adapter settings via the network status and adapter settings workflow in the Control Panel (use adapter attributes to enter the same address in the relevant field), then confirm connection status in the software.
  • Online icon remains red (not online): unplug the network cable and try again to see if it becomes online; if still not connected, check whether the network cable is in good condition.
  • Network connectivity appears incorrect: confirm the NIC is actually Gigabit (100M NIC identified by strings such as “Fast Ethernet”, “10/100”, “FE” may prevent normal connection).
  • Firmware import/export issues: during firmware import/export configuration/parameters, do not perform any actions after clicking Otwarte until the process completes; success is indicated by messages such as “Import successfully” / “Loading Flash successfully” (configuration) or “Load parameter is successful” (parameters), and later “export successful” messages for export actions.

Często zadawane pytania

How do I start the PrintExp software?
Open the PrintExp software folder, find PrintExp.exe, and double-click it to start the PrintExp software.
What NIC type should I use before connecting to the network?
Before network connection, ensure the computer’s NIC is a Gigabit NIC for normal connection. The source lists identifiers like “Gigabit”, “GBE”, “10/100/1000M”, or “RTL8169” for Gigabit NICs.
How do I set the network connection on the first setup?
Use Advanced → Network settings. Since server IP/port are fixed, set only the local IP (example given: 192.168.127.111) and click settings to complete, then check whether the network is accessible.
How can I tell if the software is online?
In the main interface, check the first icon at the lower left: it turns green when connected. If it is red, it means it is not online.
What should I do if the status stays red after setting network settings?
Unplug the network cable and try again. If it still cannot connect, check whether the network cable is in good condition.
Co file suffixes are used for firmware import/export?
Firmware configuration uses .bsf, and firmware parameters use .xtf, as noted in the import/export instructions.
