With the safe door open, press and hold '0' until you hear a double beep. Enter your existing 6 or 8-digit code once (you will hear a double beep), then enter your new code twice, with a double beep after each entry. Always test the new code at least 3 times before closing the safe door.
Entry of four (4) consecutive invalid codes triggers a five-minute time delay penalty. During this time, the LED will flash red every 10 seconds, and any keypad entries will emit a long beep.
Open the safe door first. Remove the battery cover from the keypad, extract the battery, and carefully unclip the connector. Replace with a new 9V Alkaline battery (Duracell or Energizer recommended, avoid heavy-duty versions), and test the lock at least 3 times before shutting the door.
