This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Atermiter X99 D4 Motherboard Kit. This kit includes an Atermiter X99 D4 motherboard, a Xeon E5 2643 V4 CPU, and 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz REG ECC memory. Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding with installation to ensure proper functionality and longevity of your components.
Important Note: The motherboard is new, while the CPU and RAM are used. All components are fully tested before delivery to ensure perfect functionality. The CR2032 battery for the motherboard will be removed before shipping due to customs regulations.

2. CPU Installation (Xeon E5 2643 V4)
Carefully open the CPU socket (LGA 2011-3) lever on the motherboard. Align the Xeon E5 2643 V4 CPU with the socket, ensuring the gold triangle on the CPU matches the indicator on the socket. Gently place the CPU into the socket without forcing it. Close the lever to secure the CPU. Apply thermal paste and install a compatible CPU cooler (not included in this kit, but a cooler bracket is provided).

3. RAM Installation (DDR4 32GB REG ECC)
The kit includes two 16GB DDR4 3200MHz REG ECC memory modules. For optimal performance, install RAM modules in the designated priority slots. Refer to the diagram below for proper installation order.
All RAM modules should be installed in slot #1 and slot #4 (green slots) first. The black RAM slots cannot work alone. If using 2 RAM modules, install in slot #1 and #4. If using 3 RAM modules, install in slot #1, #4, and #2 or #3. If using 4 RAM modules, install in all slots.
Note: This is REG ECC server memory and is not compatible with desktop RAM. Do not mix REG ECC RAM with desktop RAM on the same motherboard.

Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and the 4+4-pin CPU power connector from your power supply to the motherboard. Ensure your power supply is at least 500W and from a reputable brand to adequately support the system.
5. Storage Installation (NVMe M.2, SATA)
The motherboard features two NVMe M.2 slots for high-speed storage. Install your M.2 SSDs by inserting them into the slots and securing them with the provided screw. For traditional storage, connect SATA drives to the four available SATA ports using SATA data and power cables.
