3. Konfiguracja i instalacja
3.1 XOSS EDGE Cycling Computer Mount Installation
The EDGE mount is designed for firm and reliable installation on your bicycle handlebars, providing a good line of sight for your cycling computer.
- Select the appropriate silicone protective pad (thin or thick) based on your handlebar diameter (25.4mm or 31.8mm).
- Place the silicone pad around your handlebar where you intend to mount the computer.
- Position the EDGE mount over the silicone pad.
- Use the hand screw bolt and hex wrench to securely fasten the mount to the handlebar. Ensure it is tight enough to prevent movement but do not overtighten.
3.2 XOSS Vortex Speed/Cadence Sensor Installation
The Vortex sensor can function as either a speed sensor or a cadence sensor. You will need to switch its mode before installation.
3.2.1 Initial Battery Setup and Mode Switching
- For first use, remove the insulating paper from the battery compartment.
- To switch modes (Speed or Cadence), turn to unlock and unscrew the back cover of the sensor.
- Remove the CR2032 battery, then reinstall it.
- Turn on the back cover and tighten.
- The current mode will be indicated by the front indicator light. Use the XOSS app to confirm and set the desired mode.
3.2.2 Cadence Mode Installation
Measure whether the crank clearance meets the installation requirements. The straps bypass the pedal crank and hook the cadence sensor.
3.2.3 Speed Mode Installation
Tighten the strap in the hub of the front or rear wheel of the bicycle wheel set, bypass the hub, and hook the speed sensor.
3.3 XOSS X2 Chest Strap Heart Rate Monitor Setup
- Attach the heart rate sensor module to the elastic chest strap.
- Moisten the electrode areas on the back of the strap with water or electrode gel for better conductivity.
- Wrap the chest strap around your chest, just below your pectoral muscles. Ensure the sensor module is centered on your chest.
