4. Setup & Installation Guide

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before starting the installation process.

4.1 Disassembly of Original Components

  1. Remove Air Conditioning Panel: Carefully pry and remove the air conditioning decorative panel. Disconnect any plugs on the back and set the panel aside.
  2. Remove Original Car Monitor: Use a T20 screwdriver to remove the two fixing screws securing the original car monitor. Gently pull out the monitor.
  3. Disconnect LVDS Cable: Press the LVDS plug buckle on the back of the original car's monitor and carefully take out the LVDS cable.
  4. Remove Radio Panel: Remove the four fixing screws of the radio panel with a T20 screwdriver. Pull out all connecting plugs and set the panel aside.

4.2 Fiber Optic Cable Relocation (Crucial for Sound)

If your original system uses fiber optic cables, they must be correctly transferred to the Linux harness to ensure sound functionality.

  1. Locate Fiber Optic Cable: Use tweezers to press the small buckle on the original harness. Take out the 2-pin green optical fiber cable.
  2. Connect to Android Harness: Connect the 2-pin green optical fiber cable to the Android harness. Ensure correct position.

4.3 Okablowanie i połączenia

  1. Connect Android Harness: Connect the Android harness to the male connector of the original harness. Press the buckle firmly.
  2. Connect Android Harness to Original Host: Connect the male connector of the Android harness to the original host.
  3. Trasa kabli: Pass the 4G antenna, GPS antenna, and USB cable through the passenger seat storage box to the back of the Android device.
  4. Connect Android Device: Connect the Android harness, 4G antenna harness, GPS antenna harness, and USB harness to the back of the Android device. Connect the original LVDS cable to the Android device.
  5. Połączenie AUX: For some models, the AUX directly enters the audio amplifier. You must plug the audio cable (included in the package) into the AUX interface in the armrest box to get sound from the Linux system.

4.4 Montaż końcowy

  1. Install Android Device: Install the Android device to the original car, and fix it with a T20 screwdriver.
  2. Reinstall Panels: Restore the connection plugs on the back of the air conditioner panel, and put the air conditioner panel back in place.

After installation, start the car and check the following:

  • Android Device powers on.
  • Touch function is responsive.
  • Navigation, Bluetooth, audio, and video functions are working.

You can long-press the Menu button to switch between the factory OEM interface and the CarPlay/Android Auto interface.

5.2 Apple CarPlay i Android Auto

The device supports both wireless and wired CarPlay and Android Auto.

The device supports both original car reversing cameras and radar information display, as well as aftermarket CVBS format cameras. Note: It does not support aftermarket cameras with more than AHD 720P format.

6.1 No Sound Issue

If you experience no sound from the system, follow these steps:

  1. Check OEM Radio Sound: Press the FM/AM button on your original radio to confirm if the OEM radio has sound.
  2. Adjust Resolution (if OEM sound is present): If the OEM radio has sound, navigate to: Ustawienia > Ustawienia samochodu > Oryginalna rozdzielczość ekranu samochodu and select the appropriate resolution.
  3. Reconnect Socket (if no OEM sound): If there is no sound from the OEM radio, you will need to reconnect the socket on the back of the OEM radio. Refer to the fiber optic cable relocation section (4.2) for guidance.

6.2 OEM Resolution Issues

If your original system looks stretched or cut off when switching back, the resolution might need adjusting.
