For newborns, a higher position is suitable. Once your child can pull themselves to a standing position, the mattress support must be moved to the lowest position to prevent falls.

Converting to Toddler Bed:

To convert the crib into a toddler bed, remove the front rail and replace it with a compatible Storkcraft Toddler Guardrail (sold separately). Follow the instructions provided with the guardrail for proper installation. The mattress support should remain in the lowest position for a toddler bed.

To convert the crib into a daybed, remove the front rail entirely. No guardrail is used in daybed mode. The mattress support should remain in the lowest position. This configuration provides an open seating area for your child.
