Tramex HIPP1

Instrukcja obsługi sondy wilgotności względnej Tramex Hygro-i2 HIPP1

Model: HIPP1

1. Wprowadzenie

The Tramex Hygro-i2 Relative Humidity Probe is an advanced, reusable sensor designed for accurate measurement of relative humidity, temperature, and dew point in concrete and cementitious floors. This probe facilitates in-situ RH testing in compliance with ASTM F2170 standards, making it suitable for professionals in flooring, flood and water damage restoration, and indoor air quality assessment.

The Hygro-i2 probe offers rapid acclimation and temperature response, ensuring precise and reliable data collection even in environments with high relative humidity (above 90%). Its robust construction contributes to longevity and reusability, providing a cost-effective solution for moisture detection.

2. Components and Compatibility

The Hygro-i2 probe is designed for integration with specific Tramex moisture meters and data loggers. To operate the probe, an electronic interface cable is required.

2.1 Wymagane akcesoria

  • Electronic Interface Cable (RHIE2B): This cable connects the Hygro-i2 probe to compatible Tramex devices.

2.2 kompatybilne urządzenia

The Hygro-i2 probe must be used in conjunction with one of the following Tramex devices:

  • Tramex Concrete Moisture Encounter CMEX5 (Non-destructive moisture meter)
  • Tramex Moisture Encounter MEX5 (Non-destructive moisture meter)
  • Tramex Feedback Datalogger DL-RHTX

3. Setup and Installation for ASTM F2170 Testing

Proper setup is crucial for accurate in-situ relative humidity testing in concrete floors according to ASTM F2170.

3.1 Preparing the Concrete Slab

  1. Otwór wiertniczy: Drill a hole into the concrete slab to a depth of 40% of the slab thickness if drying from one side, or 20% if drying from two sides. The hole diameter should be appropriate for the probe sleeve.
  2. Otwór czyszczący: Thoroughly clean the drilled hole to remove all debris and dust.
  3. Insert Sleeve: Insert a plastic sleeve (not included with probe) into the cleaned hole. Ensure the sleeve is flush with the concrete surface.
  4. Cap Sleeve: Place a cap over the sleeve to prevent moisture ingress and allow the hole to acclimate.

3.2 Probe Acclimation

Allow the drilled hole and sleeve to acclimate to the ambient conditions for a minimum of 24 hours before inserting the Hygro-i2 probe. This ensures that the air within the hole reaches equilibrium with the concrete's internal moisture conditions.

3.3 Podłączenie sondy

  1. Kabel połączeniowy: Attach the RHIE2B Electronic Interface Cable to the Hygro-i2 probe. Ensure a secure connection.
  2. Connect to Meter: Plug the other end of the RHIE2B cable into the designated port on your compatible Tramex moisture meter (CMEX5, MEX5) or data logger (DL-RHTX).

4. Instrukcja obsługi

Once the concrete hole has acclimated and the probe is connected, you can proceed with taking measurements.

4.1 Wykonywanie pomiaru

  1. Włóż sondę: Remove the cap from the acclimated sleeve. Carefully insert the Hygro-i2 probe into the sleeve until it rests securely at the bottom.
  2. Wskaźnik zasilania: Turn on your connected Tramex moisture meter or data logger.
  3. Odczyt danych: The device will display the relative humidity, temperature, and dew point readings. Allow a few moments for the readings to stabilize. The Hygro-i2 probe is known for its fast acclimation and temperature response, minimizing downtime between tests.
  4. Dane rekordu: Record the stable readings as required for your project documentation.

4.2 Key Features for Operation

  • Fast Acclimation: The probe quickly stabilizes in diverse environments, reducing waiting times.
  • Wysoka dokładność: Provides precise measurements, even at high relative humidity levels (>90%).
  • Szeroki zakres pomiarowy: Capable of measuring from 0% to 100% RH.

5. Konserwacja

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and continued accuracy of your Hygro-i2 probe.

5.1 Czyszczenie sondy

After each use, gently wipe the probe with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials or chemical solvents, as these can damage the sensor. Ensure no debris obstructs the sensor openings.

5.2 Przechowywanie

Store the Hygro-i2 probe in a clean, dry environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case, when not in use. This protects the sensor from dust, physical damage, and extreme environmental conditions.

5.3 Sensor Protection

The probe features protected sensor openings to minimize damage. However, avoid direct contact with liquids or harsh chemicals. Do not attempt to disassemble the probe, as this will void any warranty and may cause permanent damage.

6. Rozwiązywanie Problemów

If you encounter issues with your Hygro-i2 probe, consider the following common problems and solutions.

  • No Reading or Erratic Readings:
    • Ensure the RHIE2B interface cable is securely connected to both the probe and the Tramex meter.
    • Check the battery level of your Tramex meter.
    • Verify that the probe is fully inserted into the concrete sleeve and has had sufficient acclimation time (minimum 24 hours).
    • Inspect the probe's sensor openings for any obstructions or damage.
  • Niedokładne odczyty:
    • Confirm the concrete hole has acclimated for the recommended period.
    • Upewnij się, że sonda jest czysta i wolna od zanieczyszczeń.
    • If consistently inaccurate, the probe may require recalibration or replacement. Contact Tramex support for assistance.
  • Probe Not Recognized by Meter:
    • Ensure your Tramex meter is compatible with the Hygro-i2 probe (CMEX5, MEX5, DL-RHTX).
    • Check the connection of the RHIE2B cable.
    • Restart the Tramex meter.

For persistent issues, refer to the specific instruction manual of your Tramex moisture meter or data logger, or contact Tramex customer support.
