4. Konfiguracja

1. Umieszczenie: Position the burner on a stable, non-combustible surface in a well-ventilated area.
2. Podłączenie gazu: Connect a suitable gas hose (6-8mm inner diameter) from a natural gas supply valve to the serrated gas inlet arm of the burner. Ensure the connection is secure.
3. Sprawdzenie szczelności: Before turning on the gas, ensure all connections are tight. Apply a soap solution to the gas hose connections. Slowly open the gas supply valve. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Immediately close the gas valve and tighten the connection. Repeat until no bubbles are observed.
4. Regulacja początkowa: Close the air regulator collar by rotating it until the air ports are mostly closed. Ensure the gas control knob at the base is in the closed position (fully clockwise).

5.1 Lighting the Burner

1. Ensure the gas control knob on the burner is fully closed.
2. Open the main natural gas supply valve.
3. Hold a lit match or lighter approximately 1-2 cm above the top of the burner tube.
4. Slowly open the gas control knob on the burner (counter-clockwise) until gas flows and ignites.
5. If the gas does not ignite immediately, close the gas control knob, wait a few seconds for gas to dissipate, and repeat the process.

The Tirrill burner allows for independent adjustment of gas and air to achieve different flame types.

  • Luminous (Yellow) Flame: Achieved when the air ports are mostly closed. This flame is cooler and often used for illumination or when a less intense heat is required. It produces soot.
  • Non-Luminous (Blue) Flame: Achieved by opening the air ports. This allows more air to mix with the gas, resulting in a hotter, cleaner-burning flame with distinct inner and outer cones. For maximum heat, adjust until a sharp, blue inner cone is visible.

5.3 Extinguishing the Burner

1. First, close the gas control knob on the burner (fully clockwise).
2. Then, close the main natural gas supply valve.
3. Allow the burner to cool completely before touching or storing.
